## Send Your Graduation News Face-Up

With no envelope to open, the graduate's photo and the date land face-up in the mailbox the moment they arrive. Announce the walk across the stage, invite guests to the party, or thank everyone for the gifts, and a graduation postcard puts the news somewhere it gets a real look.

One design can cover the whole season, from the announcement to the thank-you.

### What Are Graduation Postcards

A graduation postcard is a flat card printed full color to announce a graduation, invite guests to a party, thank gift-givers, or send a save-the-date, all without an envelope in the way. For the everyday mailer format, see the [Standard Postcards](https://www.4over4.com/product/postcards).

### What Size Should a Graduation Postcard Be

Pick the size by how much the card has to say. The default 2.5" x 2.5" square, or a 3" x 3", keeps an announcement to the name, the school and the date. Step up to a 3" x 4" or 4" x 4" for a photo plus the party details, and go all the way to a 6" x 11" jumbo when you want a senior portrait to fill the card and stand out in a stack of mail. For a smaller keepsake, the [Mini Cards](https://www.4over4.com/product/mini-cards) go pocket-sized, and for a metallic accent the [Metallic Foil Postcards](https://www.4over4.com/product/metallic-foil-postcards) add real shine.

### Graduation Postcards , Configured Your Way

6 option groups, 34 choices, defaults: 14pt Gloss Cover, 4/0: 4 Color Front; Blank Back, Standard Finish

### What Paper Stocks and Finishes Can You Choose

The stock sets the tone of a graduation card. Everyday 14pt and 16pt gloss cover keep it crisp and affordable, while the 24pt Ultra Thick Gloss Cover gives the card real weight in the hand. The 100# Silk/Matte reads soft and modern, the 16pt Soft Touch feels velvety, and the 30% and 100% recycled uncoated covers suit a school that watches its paper waste. For a card that catches the light, the Metallic Pearl stocks in Ice, Champagne, Silver and Gold and the StarLustre Platinum shimmer without foil, and the synthetic plastic and rigid PVC options shrug off a rainy mailbox. A High-Gloss UV Coating is optional on top of the Standard finish.

The design and the file come next.

#### Design it without a designer

Start from a layout in our [postcard design templates](https://www.4over4.com/design-templates/postcards), part of the 10,000+ free designs we offer across every product, and change the colors, photo and copy in the online editor. Put the senior portrait on the front and the school, the date and the party details on the back.

An edited senior portrait goes onto the [blank graduation postcard template](https://www.4over4.com/blank-templates/graduation-postcards) for your size, where the 1/8" bleed and the safe margin are marked, so the photo runs to the edge and the date stays clear of the trim.

## Wally sends the graduation news face-up

Why a stack of postcards beats an envelope nobody opens.

Fifty graduation postcards start at $16.48, and because there is no envelope, the photo and the date land face-up in every mailbox. Use them as announcements, party invitations, or thank-you cards. Pick a size up to 6 by 11 inches, set your speed, and Wally ships them as fast as same day.

### How Much Do Graduation Postcards Cost

### Graduation Postcards Price By Quantity

50 for $16.48 ( 33.0¢ each) up to 500 for $51.62 ( 10.3¢ each)

- Graduation Postcards: QTY · TOTAL

### Can You Print a Name on Each Postcard

Yes. Turn on variable data, keep the design fixed, and upload a spreadsheet with one row per card, so a whole guest list or class roster prints in one run with each card addressed to its own guest. Add a Free Online Proof before it prints to catch a typo in the date.

### Using a Postcard as the Graduation Party Invitation

A graduation invitation postcard does the announcing and the inviting on one card. Put the photo, the name and the school on the front, then print the back 4/4 with the party date, the address, a map and an RSVP line or code. Keep the announcement, the invitation and the thank-you on the same design and the same stock, so the three mailings read as a set. When the party calls for a card that arrives in an envelope, the [Graduation Invitations](https://www.4over4.com/product/graduation-invitations) are the version built for it, and the [Graduation Thank You Cards](https://www.4over4.com/product/graduation-thank-you-cards) close the season.

### How Fast Can You Get Graduation Postcards Printed

Standard 3-day keeps the price lowest, and when the ceremony sneaks up you can move to 2-Day, Next-Day, or even Same-Day production out of our NYC plant. The rush speeds buy back time for a set percentage on top of the base price, so you only pay for speed when you need it. Same-Day orders need to be approved by the daily cutoff to ship that afternoon. Across all orders, 99.8% of 4OVER4 jobs arrive on time and 82% ship early.

## Graduation Postcards: Frequently Asked Questions

### Where can I find cheap graduation announcements?

A postcard skips the envelope, which keeps an announcement cheap. Pick an everyday 14pt or 16pt gloss cover, and print the front only when the back has nothing to say.

### What should I write on a graduation postcard?

The graduate's name and the school on the front with the photo, then the degree or class year, the ceremony date and place, and the party details or a thank-you line on the back. Keep the front to a name and a date so the photo stays big.
