# What's the weight a postcard?

A postcard's weight depends mainly on the paper stock you choose, since heavier stocks weigh more per piece. Standard postcards are commonly printed on 14 pt or 16 pt card stock Thicker premium stocks add noticeable weight and rigidity Size matters too, larger postcards weigh more than compact ones For mailing, weight can affect postage, so heavy stocks or oversized cards may cost more to send

A postcard weighs more on heavier stock and at larger sizes, with 14 pt or 16 pt card common, and a heavy or oversized card may cost more to mail.
