# What bleed and dimensions do I need to provide for a custom belly band template?

A belly band file is built from the finished band size plus 0.125 inch of bleed on every side, so the wrap prints edge to edge. Provide the finished flat length (the full strip that wraps around the product and overlaps) and the height of the band. Add 0.125 inch of bleed to every side of the file. Extend any background color or image fully into the bleed area. Keep text and logos a safe margin inside the trim so nothing is lost at the cut or the overlap. With those dimensions, a printer can set up a matching template for your artwork.
