# What are the binding options for folded booklets or saddle-stitch products?

Folded and saddle-stitch products are typically held together by stapling through the fold, known as saddle stitch, though the right method depends on how the piece is built and how many pages it has. Saddle stitch: sheets are folded and stapled along the spine, ideal for lower page counts and quick, economical booklets. Stapling: a simple fastening for lighter folded sets. Choosing: match the binding to page count, paper weight, and whether you want the piece to lay flat.
