# Will a proof made from an RGB file show accurate printed colors?

All jobs are converted to CMYK before printing, and sometimes the conversion from RGB to CMYK can cause a color shift, but it is not on all colors. It is not possible to know until the conversion is done. Vivid blues, greens, and neon tones tend to shift the most, while many everyday colors stay close. Your monitor's calibration also changes how a color looks on screen, and a printer has no way of knowing how your monitor is calibrated. To keep the most control, build and convert your file to CMYK yourself before uploading. If colors are important, order a hard copy color proof.
