# For paper selection - what is the thickest I can print and still be okay with the Post Office?

The post office limits how thick a mailable postcard can be. According to the USPS, a postcard cannot exceed 16 points in thickness. Maximum postcard thickness for mailing is 16 pt. Staying at or under that limit keeps your piece eligible for postcard handling. Refer to the USPS guidelines for the full mailing standards.

USPS caps mailable postcards at 16 points thick, so staying at or under 16 pt keeps your piece eligible for postcard handling under its guidelines.
