# Do files for event badges need bleed?

Yes. Event badge files need bleed, just like every other print file, so color and artwork reach the edge cleanly. Add 1/8 inch (0.125") bleed on all sides so the design runs to the edge. Keep names, titles, and logos at least 1/8 inch inside the trim so nothing is cut off. Build the file at the badge's final size in CMYK. Setting bleed correctly up front prevents thin white edges after the badges are cut.
